One in black and one in beige. They have barely been worn.

The last pair is “tic tac toes” and they are red and white saddle swing shoes.  Flats

Shoes will be at the Triangle Dance Studio on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-3:00pm  And at the Elks Club Sunday evening.

Dear Friends,

Apologies for the impersonal note.  I wanted to let everyone know about some upcoming events of possible interest.

First, for those who haven't yet heard the news, I have a new novel out called BLACK & WHITE that deals with the Hayti neighborhood in Durham.  There was a rave review in the LA Times Book Review on Sunday that will tell you more about it:

I'll be doing some local promotion for the book and wanted to let you know my schedule:

Thursday, July 10--Interview on the State of Things (WUNC 91.5; 12 noon live, 9 pm repeat)

Friday, July 11--Reading/signing at The Regulator (720 9th St, Durham; 7 pm)

Sunday, July 13--Reading/signing at Malaprops in Asheville (3 pm--please pass the word to anyone you know in Western NC)

Wednesday, July 23--Reading/signing at Quail Ridge Books (Wade Avenue near 440, Raleigh; 7 pm)

I'll have guests at both the Regulator and Quail Ridge readings to talk about the history of Hayti, and we're hoping to get some lively discussion going.  Please note that no purchase is required--I would just love to see you show up.

Thanks!

--Lew
